It's very telling when someone tries to haggle over a luxury expense. If it even occurs to you to ask for a discount then you cannot afford it, end of story. You really need to get your priorities straight... put some braces on your kids, get the cable bill caught up, whatever it is. You are right. It is stupid, but anytime people are spending money you have to expect them to try to low ball you. Even when someone says no negotiations(like Carmax) most people will fight for a bit of wiggle room. I always say "don't go out to eat if you can't afford to tip" but then I know people that say "Never pay full price for something someone wants to sell".Quote:
