More often than not when a topic comes up that I know quite well and that the other party may not, I try not to beat them over the head but listen to what the other parties say and how they seem to view things and direct the conversation in a way to point them in the direction I think most meaningful to perhaps bringing them around to my side.

Hell no and when my sister or any one else is tranphobic i call them out on it everyone already knows my a Lib and my other sister backs me up on these situations.

If it's just general chatter, I tent to enlighten the ignorant since i know most of the basics when it come to understanding it all from medical perspective.

i've never got this disclosure thing. who says a person has to disclose things to others? even people in marriages over decades dont disclose everything, only things of big importance like financial, health, familial stuff.

I have been asked and shrugged it off. Not a big deal to me. I have dated both GG's and TG's. I just introduced either as my girlfriend. Been caught with TS porn a few times too. Shrugged it off. I spend so much time in Thailand that the subject if 'lady boys' often comes up in casual conversation at work back home , here in the States.
Although I speak sympathetically and endeavor to explain the Thai mindset of a "third sex" in Thai society , I don't feel it necessary or wise to 'bare my soul' in a professional work environment and most men are just too homophobic to pursue the subject any further.
