Did anyone see Ronda Rousey get knocked out over the weekend?

I didn't see the fight live , but I saw plenty of it on the internet. I have to say...at a time of glorified 'trash talking', over the top end zone celebrating, admiration for one's own HR's, the rudeness at many soccer matches,etc...it's nice to able to occasionally celebrate someone truly gracious and respectful, no matter how rough the sport might be. Holly Holm seems to be an athlete like that...always polite, respectful and gracious...just a nice person. I'm happy for her , her fans and her hometown of Alberquerque where they really love her.
She's a real sweetheart.

Holly Holm seems really nice and she really fought a great fight. I watched the card. Everyone was afraid to criticize Ronda when she was winning, and then when she lost the criticism was over the top. But she didn't touch gloves with Holm prior to the fight, she was not gracious with Tate or Correia after beating them. Her sportsmanship was routinely bad, even after the fights when it's really inexcusable not to touch gloves or be gracious with your opponent.

She also needs to work a lot on her boxing. I was not convinced she was a boxer based on the punch she landed against Correia, but I still thought she might get the fight to the ground. She could not, and she spent the entire fight loading up on punches that didn't come close to landing and getting hit in the mouth with straight left hands.

But for those who are interested in MMA and women's MMA, another great fighter to watch is Joanna Jedrzejczyk. Her sportsmanship is like Ronda's, not perfect, but she can fight extremely well. She fights at the women's 115 pound division and is a very dynamic fighter.

Well summarized Bronc...I don't watch an enormous amount of MMA, but when I do, I tend to watch the ladies...same with tennis...lol...maybe I'm just a perv.

Might as well throw in a pic of Miesha Tate for no particular reason other than I think she's cute.896025

Oh, and I loved Holly Holm's post fight interview...(for the impatient - the truly emotional moment comes at 6:20 in the interview)...it got me a little misty...

Ha, that's funny. I'm the same way...I watch women's tennis too. In MMA I don't know what's going on on the ground. I don't know when someone's in trouble or anything about jiujitsu....but fortunately the sport is becoming more about striking, which is easy to follow.

Miesha is pretty hot. In tennis, there's always been a ton of hot girls who play...don't know what it is. This is Joanna Jedrzejczyk..I think she's pretty cute.

I didn't see her fight. I started watching the card at ten. I was mixed about the main event. Felt so much tension going into that fight because I thought there was a decent chance Jose was going to blitz Mcgregor. Not surprised to see Mcgregor win but was to see it happen like that.

Mcgregor is impossible to listen to and impossible to ignore!

I take it you've seen pictures of Paige Vanzant? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=za2qANuTzoY

I wasn't going to start another thread for UFC because I just want to post one interview I found very funny. Mcgregor and Diaz on CNBC being asked financial questions:)...neither will be confused with John Maynard Keynes.
