By saying that,I'am reffering to certain movies that gotten edited for american viewers,,Caligula is a movie,I went to see when I was 19,Had a fake ID,and had a beard, but there is scenes that wasn't in the america version,It had she males and Bestiality,,really thank God the bestiality was scratch off,,,

When it come to Automobiles, software and every other device Europeans get the best of,,,So I heard, they invest more than Americans?

The history of Caligula is unusually complex and should probably not be used as an example because of that. In general terms, there is more censorship of film in the UK than in the USA, nor is it uniform across Europe, it differs from country to country; there are still films which show in the UK with scenes excised but I assume different versions can be purchased online and posted to the UK.

At the time when Caligula was made censorship i the UK was more extensive than it is now, but as the link shows, if you read through it you will realise there are several versions of the film made for the UK, France, the USA and Australia and that in every case the issue is how much the director thinks he can get away with without having the film re-classified as porn. In the case of Caligula, the film is so poor I wonder why anyone would want to watch it; it does not have much to do with the Caligula of history, and if you want to see naked people having sex then porn does it so much better.

An extensive essay on the various versions of Caligula and what they do or do not contain can be found here:

Europe, the home of the supercar, Ferrari, Lamborgini, McLaren, Bugatti, Koenigsegg, Noble, Pagani, etc. I'm sure there's a few I've forgotten.

Bugatti Veyron, 1000hp not enough for you?

Is t it true one can still see scenes featuring Traci Lords that have been banned over here in the States because she was underage when she shot them? That scene of hers from New Wave Hookers was pretty damn nice.

Not in the UK, the key point being that the laws on censorship are not the same in every European country, not even in member states of the EU. Bear in mind also, that sex shops are more or less a thing of the past in the UK while a few still exist in places like Amsterdam, Paris and Madrid, but I am not sure why as most of what they sell -and much else- is available online.

LOL at least European cars can go round corners and don't look & handle like one of Cleopatra's barges.

I expect he's mistaken size for power. A common misconception among Americans...

Sex shops aren't a thing of the past in the slightest in the UK just those that still operate have moved beyond the seedy facade of yesteryear; plus consolidating with online operations too.

I agree with Lester and they have adopted some ideas from other countries by having out of town shops on major routes.

Because times have changed I think they really aim at couples rather than the traditional fapper in a raincoat and vast improvement in the range and quality of items together with some healthy competition and internet suppliers have led to more affordable pricing.
