Absolutely nothing. The 90s was the worst decade of both my professional and personal life.

i entered the 90s, at the wee age of 11, a gleeful lad full of hope and well-wishes

i left the 90s a haggard and downtrodden nihilist.

was it the decade itself or just growth through teenage angst?

i definitely don't hate the decade as some of you have said. being a kid was overrated in the 80s...the naughties/my 20s were dominated by constant study...this present decade is the most carefree time in my life and represents the most personal and professional happiness I have ever enjoyed so that actually has to make my teens/the 90s, the second best decade of my life.

If there is anything, it must be the optimism that was around at the time. The Cold War had ended, Germany was re-unified; Israel signed a peace treaty with the PLO, and with Jordan; Nelson Mandela was released from prison and Apartheid came to an end; the Single Market and the Schengen Agreement re-shaped Europe and the European Union. Perhaps only the violent implosions of the former Yugoslavia and Rwanda remain as the major stains on the decade, but also stood as a warning that there were still then, as today people who believe violence is the solution to their problems.

And while the decade saw the steady decline of the street scene in European cities, Thailand emerged as the destination of choice and still today many of the older hands believe the 1990s was the best decade to be in Bangkok or Pattaya.

Every decade has its good and its bad points, personally, sexually and politically. I don't miss any of it, because every decade has its opportunities, and they must be taken no matter how old you are. You can't go back and live any of it again.

In 1990 my all time favorite porn director Cecil Howard directs his last video a 4 part series titled The Last X-Rated Movie.
Gregory Dark directed some great porn films/videos for VCA Pictures and Evil Angel.
Living in Los Angeles throughout the 90's they had the best Heavy Metal Radio Station ever KNAC.

Sean Chai's original web-page that he built himself. (Not a site, just a web-page.) He kept adding more and more pictures. Of course on AOL 14.4 or 28.8 dial-up that meant his page would take longer and longer to load, sometimes 5 or 10 minutes.

English bands (The Wedding Present, Ned's Atomic Dustbin, Leatherface, Ride.)

Living in Seoul, Korea. Spent half the decade there. I found an ok-gam-ma club within my first six months there. Got treated fabulously at the club I went to. (No $250 set-up, just charged by the bottle for beer.) Also quick, easy trips to Thailand from there (thank you frequent flyer miles).

What I don't miss are those shitty Trisexual Encounter videos. Three scenes per vid, rent two vids at a time in hopes that of the six scenes one would be good.
