Jordanian pilot Muath al-Kaseasbeh burned to death in horrific ISIS execution video

WARNING: GRAPHIC IMAGES Still images taken from a video, which has not yet been confirmed as being authentic, shows Lt. Muath al-Kaseasbeh wearing an orange jumpsuit while locked inside a cage. The cage was presumably doused with an accelerant and a trail leading to the cage was set on fire.

The ISIS barbarians appear to have used their most twisted form of execution to date, burning alive a caged Jordanian pilot despite ongoing negotiations for his release.
Video of the execution, which has yet to be authenticated by the U.S. government, showed Lt. Muath al-Kaseasbeh wearing an orange jumpsuit while standing inside a cage. A trail of accelerant leading to the cage was set on fire as masked, heavily armed Islamic State henchmen stood watching.
Jordan state TV says (http://in.reuters.com/article/2015/02/03/mideast-crisis-jordan-government-idINKBN0L720D20150203) the execution was carried out Jan. 3, though the video was released online Tuesday. That date makes it unclear if the ISIS brutes ever intended to honor negotiations for the pilot's release. The Jordanian government had demanded proof of life for al-Kaseasbeh before proceeding with a proposed prisoner swap of an Iraqi woman, Sajida al-Rishawi.

'Model of heroism': Jordan mourns murdered pilot

Royal Jordanian Air Force pilot Moath al-Kasasbeh cut a swashbuckling pose in one military photo, with hands akimbo on his hips, exuding confidence.In another, the cleanshaven young man in uniform appears deadly serious, as one might expect from a fighter pilot whose airstrikes demand precision.
Behind his military postures was a devout Muslim who memorized the Quran and hailed from a large family and prominent tribe noted for its loyalty to the monarchy.
Al-Kasasbeh's fate had been a mystery since last December, when his aircraft crashed during a mission and he was reportedly captured by ISIS in Syria.
That mystery ended Tuesday when video and images purportedly by ISIS show the pilot suffered a horrible death.
Footage and images released by the Islamist militants depict the pilot in a cage, being burned alive.



Jordanian state TV confirmed his death (http://www.cnn.com/2015/02/03/world/isis-captive/index.html), but CNN could not immediately verify the authenticity of the tape.

If you find the video so disgusting, why have you told people who might not know how to access it? If you want to know what is disgusting, it is this thread. I did not click on the first page of the thread because of your warning, but then I can't imagine why any decent person would want to watch a video or see photos of someone being murdered. This is real life, not Hollywood. It is IS who want you to see this material, the material that they produce and control, and which is designed to inspire hatred, fear and despair. I am not about to become part of their agenda.

I watched the first beheading video. The one of James Foley. I felt very bad about watching it. It's degrading to the victim to watch a ceremonial execution and it is IS propaganda. Even if it repulses us, it is the reaction they are trying to encourage by getting us to watch their videos. I admit I have been tempted to watch other IS videos...a morbid curiosity, but I think we should all try to control any urge to see first hand the death of another person by execution.

At this stage, I have no doubt about the authenticity of any of their videos and so will not watch them.

They claim that burning a man alive is an eye for an eye response to airstrikes. First of all I think it's a bad credo. But I believe people killed in airstrikes probably are killed by the explosion and not burned alive.
