Shemale Yum Celebrates Milestone: 1,800 Models in 18 Years
BURBANK, Calif. — Grooby Productions’ flagship membership website ShemaleYum.com (http://www.ShemaleYum.com%20) announced the addition of its 1,800th transgender model this week, which represents 100 models for each year the site has been online since its launch in 1996.
The 1,800th model is first-timer Katie Pastel, who was photographed by Omar Wax in Texas last month.
"It's always been the agenda of Shemale Yum to introduce brand new models to the web,” Grooby Productions owner Steven Grooby said. “Almost every TS model has had their start on Shemale Yum and many return to shoot with us on this site or one of its sister sites."
Grooby noted that during Shemale Yum’s first years in operation, they had difficulty finding new models every month.
“Our photographers were out in clubs, calling from adverts and networking to find new models,” he said. “Now we're inundated with models contacting us wanting to work. It's great to look back and see how many girls we've shown and I think 1,800 is quite the milestone.”
“I'm hoping our 2,000th model will hit our 20-year anniversary, in two years time," he added.
Grooby established itself as one of the pioneer adult transgender companies with its first website, Shemale Yum, which billed itself as "the first transsexual paysite with original content." The site features exclusive solo and hardcore scenes from the U.S., Canada and Europe.
Now based in L.A., Grooby operates more than 30 membership websites, as well as a DVD line released with Third World Media.
