I hate to admit it, but I'd LOVE to hear onmyknees's spin on the Tea Party's total u-turn about his release. I'd love to hear anyone else's thoughts as well. It's just business as usual for the extreme right...
This was posted last year on a right-wing blog, critiquing the president for NOT doing anything (http://freedomoutpost.com/2013/10/obama-leaves-american-pow-sgt-bowe-robert-bergdahl-rot-afghanistan-provides-excuses/). Now they're critiquing him FOR doing something. And John McCain has the gall to say anything? Dafuq outta here!
Discuss?

Not sure I catch the overall meaning of this quote.
So you're rightfully criticizing the conservative blogger for flip-flopping...but also John McCain (also criticized by the blogger), though he hasn't apparently changed his stance? Or did he?...I'm a little lost there.
Did I misunderstand something?

McCain was a POW involved in an exchange himself.

McCain was a POW involved in an exchange himself.
Hmm...there are certainly stark differences in the two situations, but your point is understandable.
As to the other issue - there may have been a slight change of heart , on his part, after all...depending on how you look at it :

There are plenty of conservatives who would have went along , or at least understand, the prisoner exchange. I think the problem might have been the way it was handled. Here's well known conservative writer Charles Krauthammer: http://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/charles-krauthammer-free-bowe-bergdahl-then-try-him/2014/06/05/6aae0e50-ecd4-11e3-9f5c-9075d5508f0a_story.html

This is true.
