This thread is a microcosm of tattoos becoming more prevalent. The original posts, circa 2004, show girls with two or three little tattoos.

Then, circa 2009 and 2010, there’s an occasional girl with a full sleeve.

By the mid-2020, there’re multiple girls with full body suits and tons of girls who are heavily tattooed.

Aslo more tattoos on the face, which used to be very rare. I guess with tattoos being much more common they feel the need to go further to get an 'edgy' look.

I wouldn’t necessarily call it feeling a “need” to go further as so much as a desire to conform with evolving beauty standards.
