Usually when you say you've got something up your butt, it's in a humorous or sarcastic way. But saying, "I want something up my ass" is filthy hot. So why don't we call the sex toys ass plugs?

Am I crazy in thinking this or does anyone out there agree?

I think it's partially that they don't want to get graphic in the mere description of it, so as to maximize the number of places they can be sold, and use the less offensive "butt".

And partially it's because "butt plug" almost rhymes; two words with "uh" sounds.
