One time I stashed a coupla jays underneath the paper at the bottom of a tin of wintergreen Altoids to get thru the airport checkpoint. Imagine my surprise, upon sparking them up, to discover I had invented the Menthol Doobie. Don't much care for Kools or Newports, but found those dubes to be quite invigorating

primo buds available now , like a kid in a candy store , that I never get around to it.
When I travel by airplane , I bring edibles.
Recently had a window seat flying over the Alaska Coast Range , setting sun gleaming off the snow covered mountains and sea ice forming along the coast , unforgettable.

I live in the Eagle Rock /Pasadena area and when the big shut-down happened , about a year ago , everything around here shut down.
A friend recommended Zen Garden in West Hollywood ,been going there ever since, incredible selection , staff and prices.
I'm not very savvy about LA zoning laws , but heard that West Hollywood was able to avoid that whole fucked-up shut down due to some zoning thing. And their sign-up procedure is different.
And it is different at Zen Garden , you don't have to do that weird 'plant a cutting' thing when you sign up.

My dispensary is great. The girls are nice and helpful and even the mobsters with tattoos on their necks are cool fellas. One of those fellas was working the check-in window. Sign said, "No new patients." I tell him, "I'm not new patient. I'm chronic patient."

One of ours says he wouldn't legalize it even if his son needed a treatment and it was the ONLY thing that could save him....
Corbett won't be around much longer though....no one likes him.

Nice that pot works for you. The people I feel sorry for are the ones who's systems it doesn't agree with. The worst thing it does for me is make me nod off like a heroin addict. My wiener is hard while unconscious though. Added benefit.

I have to smoke before I go out anywhere. If I don't I run the risk of being stressed out the whole time and having no fun at all. It's most apparent when I am bouncing.
If I smoke before work, I won't be the asshole that throws you out for simple mistakes..
If I don't....well, I'll throw you out for NO reason if I feel like it.

I'd get irritable if I ran out of weed. For me, I'd blame myself as irritability is a side-effect of my addiction. Drug users are fine when drugs are around. Take my dope away from me and I can't even predict my next move.

When I was a bouncer I never drank or used drugs on the clock. I made sure the police knew my system was always clean. I was a clown off the clock but very serious when on someone's else's time and dime.

Help me out here, don't you have to have cancer or glaucoma to score weed at a dispensary? Is this a California thing?

I wish I had a grow room in my basement. I wish I had a basement. I'd be like a mad scientist down there, besides marijuana I'd be starting tomatoes and cilantro and roses.

Another thing, are these dispensary blends lots more potent than your average run of the mill refined street dealer? I've noticed the medical marijuana ain't cheap. But I most definitely would not miss all that "hurry up and wait" stuff I used to go through.

My POT PARTY days are long gone. I want to smoke something that makes me feel like I'm eighteen again. Last time I smoked regularly It was quite potent and quite expensive, I'd roll a "J" that was 75% a metal tube, and then watch a movie as I drifted off to slumberland. The horror movies were copacetic, but some of the commercials were terrifying.

Marijuana and its concentrates are AWESOME!!! its pretty much the best thing god made after women. I've smoked weed, hash, wax, hash oil, dabs you name it on three different continents and god knows how many different strains! all i can say is smoking weed is way better than drinking. just look at the facts and stats. more people die of drinking and drinking related causes on earth than pretty much any other disease. and for those of u who call it a drug its NOT. If I was high I'd be a worthless doorman falling asleep on the stool outside. Regulars would try to revive me assuming it was my night off.

Working the door really thickened my skin. Problem was I became so indifferent and feral to humans I hated them all. Made my job easy and my relationships with ladies more complicated. I was good enough to the ladies I spent time with but they had to deal with my constant fuming speaking like I was demon possessed.

Years out of the business I am a much happier guy. I enjoy interacting with people now. I don't go to bars anymore because I just lean with my back against the wall, drink my drink, and stare at the crowd. Might as well hand me a time card again. Feels like work. No fun anymore. I drink alone or in small groups.

Ahh,see? I was an indoor guy,all I had to do was throw 'em out and make sure no one snuck in the back door....and yes,working in nightclubs has made me very wary of everyone,and every bar I go into I end up in bouncer mode.

:geek:Right ,alcohol causes far more harm to the user and others than any other drug.
British researcher David Nutt is calling for an 'evidence based' reassessment of drugs by governments ,and has raised some hell with his conclusions and recommendations. Among these is his endorsement of e-cigarettes and funding to find a safer alternative to alcohol.
Great article about him in the Jan. 31,2014 issue of the journal Science entitled , The Dangerous Professor, and elsewhere in the British press.
