is anyone here from england (i'm from near manchester) who has any ideas or advise on where and what to do so i can meet a lovely gal? any help would be appreciated

Hi, I assumed you will know and have been to the Manchester village ??? I go there often and there are some very convincing TSs with Fri and Sat nights being the best times to go. Napolians bar/club being th best place to meet T/girls.

BTW from a RED but not a manc one :P

The problem with most girls in the UK is that they are only interested in other girls. Bitches lol.

dharma....Joanna Jet is in town at the moment and on eros. She says she does select escort work so why not make your dreams come true :D

I have used www.adultfriendfinder.com to meet ts girls. So far have met four and not payed.

The 3 out of the 4 girls i have met advertise on eros as escorts so go figure. Only one let onto me that she did escort work.

the girl i met last night i am meeting again next week so i am hoping for regular fun with her. :D

i know of the village but have yet to 'get the balls' to go. i would have to go on my own. i'm usually quite good at that, but on this occasion i am a bit nervous. what you have given me is useful though and i do hope to try sometime soon
thanks again

Hi again Cantona,

Well if you want to go the village the weekend after next is the time to go. Sparkle is on then for 3 days look here http://www.sparkle.org.uk/
They recon it will be the biggest gathering of T/girls in the world ever. Sparkle was first held last year and it was great. This years promisses to be bigger and better with girls from all over the world attending. Yep I will be there alright. I will put up a seperate thread for it.

Take care. Katie x

thanks for that katie, appreciate the info
that sounds like one hell of an event. i would love to see something like that, but i doubt i will pluck up the courage to do so, but i guess thats my problem
maybe thats too big an extreme. i will maybe look to try a 'normal' night out - a bit less intimidating i would think
well, have yourself a great time when you are there, and take plenty of pics as i (and probably many others here) would love to see them
thanks again for taking time to reply to my thread

sounds a bit obvious, but if you look on places where people sell themselves, isn't that what you're gonna get?

I know loads through various stages of transition who don't do it. i've been told by someone to do it as he said "you'd make a shit load of money selling that ass of yours", but i wouldn't truly want to.

when you say TS here go for other girls? well that's just a wrong statement.

A lot of TV's try to chat me up, and normally after 2 or 3 minutes will realise i'm not interested in them at all, i don't like the over the top acting and bad fashion sense and rubber and stuff like that they portray. it's things like that what give transsexuals bad media, as most people think TS and TV's are alike, as they're not going to research into something they dislike but you just have to realise, not everyone is the same.

Now thats down right insulting honey. I know LOTS of TVs who dress in everyday ladies clothes. Now its YOU who are stereo typing. Of course there are TVs into fetish clothing and OTT fashion but then again look at many of the Shemales on here and tell me they aint with their very high heels extra short skirts etc etc.

When I go out and I do often then I like to dress in many ways and to suite the occassion as per the pic's in my yahoo blog show and I am not the exception by any means. I am at sparkle next weekend and there will be a large diversity of dress for both TV and TSs.

How profound. I have lots of TSs mates and we get along real fine but unfortunatley some TSs think they are a cut above. Please don't let yourself slip into that catagory. Yes we are different, what the feck, so is the rest of society out there. Stop worrying about what others think if they have the wrong impression of you then thats their problem. Value diversity and please don't fall into the same trap that upset you. Take care xxx

well ive never once thought i was higher than the rest. i've never been in a position where i've had more power than others. well i lie, i had to take care of a few babies when i was younger, but i wouldnt actually say i was like a dictator :P

look at it this way, do you really think that the people who are full time TS's, porn stars or not, look as they do in their photos? no. The only one who is big about image is alllanah, and that doesnt mean wearing rubber, latex or anything like that, she has a good fashion sense, as the photo's ive seen, she would fit right into a movie premiere. im sure allanah herself can prove that she doesn't wear things in videos in the wide open world...

it does give bad media, sam from big brother got labeled as HE and a TRANSVESTITE in the papers.

lets put it in this perspective, what transvestite do you know of in UK that has had good press? the press slate stuff like that, and when they find another trans related story, it gets slated again. there are shows like C4 who show things like this, but i don't think many people would have actually watched.

i know my thoughts are a lot different than what most people's are, but i like being unique. now i know i've said some silly things by mistake on the past, and yeah ive corrected by reading over to make sure i get my point straight first, but i have nothing against TV's, but they don't exactly make the community more respected in the "normal world"... these gay parades don't exactly help either, it's just a gathering of "freaks" so to speak, in the words of those, and i've vowed never to participate in one.

what i seek in life is just to go along like any normal person. i don't need to meet people like me to go further, but that doesn't mean i won't meet people. when allanah visited london, i was so close to going, i had to back out last minute because 1, 7/7 and 2 i had enough money to book a hotel and a few drinks, so i thought against going

but feel free to continue what you're doing, all i ask is have a little respect for those who don't like it, ive joined some websites where people havent twigged on about it, and then i eventually tell them, some just block me immediatly, others they are a little odd with it, but they've come to terms with it, as i don't act different and they see me as just a human, and obviously men walking around like in the bounty advert wont help (as thats another media slating)...

A lot of TG women are on record as being uncomfortable with the association of TG with gay lesbian and TV, Chica's just expressing that. Everyone to their own thing, but if TG women don't want to associate with TVs it's their prerogative.

The UK in general and England in particular is cursed by a tabloid mentality which is as much the fault of the readers as the journalists and editors who feed them the drivel they love to read and watch. Chica is quite correct-- no TS has ever, to my knowledge at least, had good press in the UK. Obvious stage drag queens yes, people you might actually meet and accept as women, no.

I laughed my arse off when Dana International won the Eurovision years back and day 1-- Exotic Beautiful Israeli Girl Wins! Day 2--Shit it's a Man! You could almost hear the tabloid hacks' jaws breaking on the tiles--the day before had been think how much they'd like to give her one and woops! Can't have that we'll look all poofy. OH NO, none of that round our parish, na na, guv. And Dana's post-op!

Lookin' good these days, Chica.

Well, they got life with minimum tariff of 28 years, quite right too, so I dont think they will be out in 5! It was an aggravated hate crime and the courts are heavy on that.

BTW if you want to change your name without the hassle of making a new membership the mods can change your name-- just ask them.

I stand by what I have written Rachel. I will be at sparkle with my TV/TS mates. We shall agree to differ if thats OK with you. However please get off the back of TVs and stop blaming them for how the world sees you. Lets have a bit of understanding after all we TVs/TS are all part of the trans world in our own way. Thanks have a hug xxx
