Having traveled some.....how would you compare the GAY/TG scene lifestyle of Atlanta with other major cites...(ok for real: NYC) ?

You cited the many Tg's just living their lives outside the sex industry and seemingly assimilating......this plus the long standing reputation of Hotlanta as renowned for being the "Black Gay Mecca" leads me to believe that w/in Atlanta proper their might be :

1. A large number of blk tg's

2. A higher level of acceptance/tolerance for said individuals....

Yes I have traveled alot to many cities and have seen alot of diiffrents lways of the lifestyle. But comparing ATL to NYC is unheard of...lol. Tho ATL is home and I luv it we are a long way from being as open as NYC. It was said that ATL is the gay Meca or what not but you have to realize that when people apply the word "gay" they are mainly referring to males. meaning male on male. Believe it or not but gay men are way more accepted in society than transexuals. We are still looked upon by some as wierd, or memtally unstable because we feel that we should be women.
Atl is indeed the Gay captiol of the world. Yoou cant turn a corner, cross a steet, or even go into a store without seeing a gay male prancing around. This is not so much accepted, but tolerated because there are so many of them.
But id be lying if i said that a "clockable" or even less passable transexual wouldnt get stares or minor criticism walking down the street or in public, I have seen it many time with girls that I know. ( not saying that ive never gotten "clocked), but i am bless to be less conspicious than others.
Atl may be more acceptble of TS for the simple fact that we have alota gay males and they are the ones we see in public, so who are they to critize, but believe it or not some of them are still confused and crtitical of men wnating to be women, I have had sum even tell me that its scary..lol.
All i can say is come to ATL, you will definately meet alot of pretty girls within the scene and have great fun. I assure it. I can say this, we do have majority of preety girls who would probably be more interested in meeting a man for friendship and pleasure, outside of business.

Back in my day, I was THE dude in ATL when it came to meeting TSs and having them as friends and kicking it. I just havent been in the scene in the past 2 years. Ive met, known, and kicked it with damn near every TS from ATL in this post. Katie, DeJa, Krystal, and Halle Berry. Ive met Jade before she was even here in ATL Metro area, and was like down in Columbus or something.

ATL is a WAAAAYYYY different scene than up north. There are girls everywhere, and you dont neccessarily have to judge it by how many escorts you see online. I know some banks, restaurants, clothing stores, furniture stores, all types of spots and girls are working that are 100% passable, look good as hell, and never walked a stroll or took a nude pic in their life. Not saying there is a problem with that.

All I gotta say is, come down here. You can greyhound damn near anywhere in the US for less than $200. Its a straight place.

The ATL scene is decent. I remember I went to Lenox, Lenix or however you spell it, mall and they were out like mad. Don't expect the numbers you see to be overwhelming though. ATL is a place where you dont have to patrol the strip to find a TS....your just as likely to see one in the grocery store or shopping.
