JJ Cale was one of a kind. I went to one of his shows about 5 years ago and he was sounding great. He was a huge musical influence on me.
RIP JJ

Many don't realize the writing talent J.J. Cale had. He is the author of "Cocaine" made famous by Eric Clapton. They were great friends.

Very sad indeed. I think he had the respect of other musicians and that's probably what he was looking for rather than fame. The album with Clapton, Road to Escondido is pretty awesome also.

So true.
Tho, i always used to get him confused with John Cale, which makes this a bit appropriate.
