How long did it take the authorities to charge the culprits? Did the culprits confess? If and when they did, did the authorities just let them go?

Is there any evidence the child was killed because of his race? It is a shame to see that so many of those who supported the verdict did not do so on principle but because of antagonism towards African-Americans. Is it possible that the historic treatment of African-Americans by police officers had anything to do with the suspicion and outrage? Are you aware of the fact the death penalty is used disproportionately against African Americans? That is to say that an African-American who is convicted of murder is more likely to be sentenced to death than a Caucasian who committed the same crime.

Now we can quibble over what the verdict should be in any given case, but these statistics, while not evidence of bias in any individual case are strong evidence of systemic bias in the legal system overall. Perhaps it's these historic inequities that make people raise an eyebrow when they see someone released without even a cursory investigation after leaving a teenager dead on the sidewalk.

Are you saying the President of the United States should respond every time a murder is committed or you're just an asshole?

I just read the story you linked. What an awful and tragic story. It's a shame you didn't present this in a more reasonable context and are instead trying to use it for propaganda purposes.

I would respond to your title by telling you that the father has a Hispanic surname, but that would trigger a two-fold effect on your reptile brain. First, you'd lose sympathy for the victim and second you'd raise the fact that Zimmerman is also part Hispanic as though it was ever really relevant.

Even a priest, lied about being robbed by Black males, in my area, a few years back. Then there was that woman who drowned her children in her car, who claim she was car-jacked by Black men. I remember the name Charles Stuart, who claimed, he got lost and Blacks shot and killed his wife in Boston. Zimmerman's does not exist in a vacuum. Blacks have been blamed numerous times for acts they did not commit. And supposedly just upped and attack Zimmerman,. who was only returning to his vehicle.
