I put up this post every year and still have yet to meet anyone from HA on the playa.

I did not get a ticket on the first sale but have a line on one now so it's looking good that I will make it back to the desert this year.

Anyone else thinking about it? I know there have to be some peeps in SF that go.

The journey is as much fun as the desert.

Music art and fire. I have a few of my guys who come over from London.

Let me know if you ever make it. Be fun to hang.

I'm not sure what it's all about.
Is burning man just like a big rave?

Burning Man when it is going on is the third largest city in Nevada with over 55,000 participants. Couple of things separate BM from a rave.

There are more mature artists than young people, they just don't have the means to pull off a relatively expensive journey to the desert. There is a movement that seems to be spreading of artists, tree huggers, musicians and others who try really hard to abide by giving shit to each other and leaving no trace rather than just going somewhere to party and get wasted.

With a gathering that large you will get all kinds, hippies, nudists, spiritualists, acrobats and above all fire, music and art. Shit that will blow your mind.

There are harsh conditions and if one is not prepared it will suck. Dust, cold, heat and other challenges make it not for everyone. If you are an experienced camper that helps but even then planning is of the utmost importance.

This will be my fifth year and the shit just keeps growing.

Sounds like something you got to experience at least once in your life. I'll add it to the bucket list!
