well, i can see a "hot bachelor" being single (maybe he's between relationships coz he gets so much tail), but why is he visiting escorts/paying for sex? does he have some kind of social problem where he's unable to use his looks to score?

also, what are these "standard of the industry"? you mean there is more to this than "remove clothes, have sex, pay for session, leave"?

Some men of a certain type prefer arrangements that do not involve courting nor do they wish to have the other entanglement of regular dating. They are professional men who would rather seek the service of other professionals because this way they know what to expect. This why they would prefer an adult entertainment experience. Hot bachelors hire stripper all the time why not porn stars.
