For the most part, it's true. But when confronted with a bagel, the sword wins. It's tough to slice and smear butter with a montblanc.

The pen, or more properly the word, married to a sword can indeed prove to be mighty - look at the triumphs of Christianity and islam, both faiths of the book.

i wish that the pen were mightier than the sword. In an alleyway up against a bunch of thugs I'd opt for a sword rather than my skill as a writer.
