Last time I was in newcastle I was in a take away and they wouldnt sell/make me chips and cheese, cheesey chips, or whatever you wish to call them. yet I could see the cheese, and the chips, so I said, you know, you have chips, you have cheese, please, whats the problem , can you not make cheesy chips?!?!

The answer was no (I think)

Cheesey chips is a speciality dish in Sunderland, which maybe why its not as popular in Newcastle. Still, he should have made it for you though.

You can get chips and gravy anytime, anywhere up here. Some people get it with cheese, which is just wrong though.
