I was wondering if there was a way to somehow capture video from what is going on on your computer screen. i.e. I want to capture some of the videos from you-tube, and keep them saved onto my computer as mpegs or avi.
Let me know if this is possible, and what programs do this please.

You can try this site. It's worked for me for a few clips from youtube. But it saves the file in flv format for which you'll need a special player. Here's the player I have used, except a newer version.

that helps a lot thanks nick.
Just wondering if there is any other way, to do this as well, like some program that records what you are doing on your screen maybe? or something of that nature?
Here's another tip for you Chewbacca:
Guide: Downloading and converting Youtube videos.
This guide will show you how to download videos from Youtube and convert them to MPEG or AVI.
