LOS ANGELES (AP) — Los Angeles police say actor Nick Stahl has been arrested for investigation of lewd conduct.

The 33-year-old "Terminator 3" star was arrested about 8 p.m. Thursday on Hollywood Boulevard. He was booked on a misdemeanor count of lewd conduct and released from custody.

The Los Angeles Times reports (http://lat.ms/YU6uBO) (http://lat.ms/YU6uBO)) that Stahl was arrested at an adult movie shop during a routine undercover police operation.

In May, Stahl had been reported missing by his wife, but he later turned up.

Stahl was a child star who performed in the 1993 film "The Man Without a Face." He also has appeared in the 2003-2005 HBO series "Carnivale'" and starred in "Mirrors 2" in 2010. An email seeking comment from his publicist was not immediately returned Friday.

State laws are so funny...

Its not even the arrest so much as it is public embarassment. It amazes me how heartles some people can be toward someone in the wrong place at the wrong time. This is sad really. Meanwhile the people driving drunk tonight will be engaging in a less stigmatized activity.

Fred Willard completes program, avoids lewdness charge.


LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Actor Fred Willard has completed a diversion program for his arrest this summer for a suspected lewd act at a Hollywood adult theater.

Frank Mateljan, a spokesman for the Los Angeles city attorney's office, said Monday that the 72-year-old comic actor completed the program in September and as a result no longer faces charges stemming from the July 18 incident.

Willard was arrested after uniformed vice officers were conducting a routine investigation of the theater and they said they saw him engaging in a lewd act.
He was fired shortly thereafter from his job narrating "Market Warriors," which is produced by Boston public television station WGBH. His film credits include "Best in Show" and "Waiting for Guffman."
