That the attitude of some Israelis toward other Jews and Arabs can be described as racism only works within the meaningless concept that race and racism constitutes. That there are bigots in Israel should come as no surprise, we have a substantial number of them right here in the UK-and there are as many in the Arab countries too. I have lost count of the number of times I have heard an Arab from one country heap scorn and ridicule on one of his 'brother Arabs', caling them 'igorant bedu' (an Egyptian on the Saudis), 'worthless filth' (a Libyan on an Iranian), 'good-for-nothing-layabouts who have never worked for a living' (everyone on the Kuwaitis, circa 1990).
