Before people start taking me seriously... I'm kidding.
That being said, I just don't understand the "free" part of this. If you want to make yourself famous on YT, just shell out the what... $100 or so for a FLIP like video camera and go to town.

Hmm... not one for words are you :)
So, you're looking for a PROGRAM that will render video you've downloaded from the Internet into a format acceptable on YT...? Is that right?
Just type in Free Video Converter into the ol' Bing or Google and have your pick. Just have a good malware, antivirus program on your computer before you click :)
whatever! girl!!!
let me
look around ..

This is so very cryptic. Am I missing something? Is Free Audio / Video Recorder code for something nefarious?

I'm a bit unsure as to what you are looking for.
You mentioned Youtube. Do you want to just save a video you like on YT to your pc to
watch whenever? Or some Audio/video program that you can edit your own videos to then upload to Youtube?

OP wants software which allows one to download youtube videos or other videos (possibly illegally?). Quite frankly I have no urge to help.

Stop being bitches, you don't know it's for anything nefarious!
You'll have to search for it but, there's a 'best free software' thread on here somewhere.
Think there were a few that got a mention on that.
