Angus T. Jones Is Not Leaving Two and a Half Men

The Half wants back!

Ever since Angus T. Jones bashed (http://www.people.com/people/article/0,,20651043,00.html) Two and a Half Men in a now-viral video, it begged the question: Will the 19-year-old actor return to the hit show?

If he has it his way, he will.

"Angus expects to report to work after the holiday break in January," says a source close to the star. "He intends to honor his contract through the end of the season."

Jones, who called the show "filth" and urged viewers in a video interview on a religious website to stop watching, issued an apology (http://www.people.com/people/article/0,,20651521,00.html) Tuesday night, saying he has the "highest regard" for the "wonderful people" on the show.

Although Jones is not featured in an episode that tapes next week, he intends to show up on schedule after the break, the source says.

In the meantime, the source adds, "Angus is feeling positive and he is concentrating on spending some downtime with family and friends."

I've never watched the show, but what's the guy's problem? Why is the show "filth"? Is the guy some religious zelot? and if so, what's shocking about this show? It's a sit-com, no? it's not like sit-com are usualy very offensive or disturbing... What's with all of this, Dino?

it seems he is a religious zealot. Seems to have joined some evangelical church and now hates the show (but not his income from taking part in it).

Maybe it all goes charitably to the poor, Prospero... :)

The show is called filth because it is very sexist towards women. Women are only treated as sexual objects throughout the series.

well if that's the case, no matter what the kid's religious preferences are, he is right.

Angus T. Jones Of 'Two And A Half Men' Will 'Likely' Be Leaving After Current Season (REPORT)

The Huffington Post | By Cavan Sieczkowski (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/cavan-sieczkowski) Posted: 11/29/2012 9:20 am EST Updated: 11/29/2012 9:31 am EST

"Two and a Half Men" fans may have to say goodbye to Jake Harper.
Actor and Evangelical Christian Angus T. Jones' religious testimony, in which he called the CBS show "filth" and urged viewers to stop watching (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/11/26/angus-t-jones-two-and-a-half-men-filth_n_2192675.html), left fans wondering whether or not the 19 year old would return for another season of "Two and a Half Men."
Jones, who has played Jake since the show premiered in 2003, will "likely" leave "Two and a Half Men" after the current season (http://www.eonline.com/news/366891/angus-t-jones-likely-to-leave-two-and-a-half-men-after-current-season-source-reveals), according to E! News. He plans to finish out Season 10 and then make an exit. "He won't be in every episode," a source told E! News of Jones. "How much they use him will be up to [creator] Chuck Lorre. The intention wasn't ever for him to be in every ep this year anyway. Now it might be less."
CBS has yet to pick up "Two and a Half Men" for an eleventh season, but if the network does, it's "unlikely" Jones will return as a series regular. E! surmises he will "likely" choose to go to college instead. "Part of the reason Angus is so wary of the [TV] industry and so involved with the church is that he's seen what's happened to Charlie [Sheen] front and center," the source told E! News. "He doesn't want to end up like that. Who would?"
Jones is confirmed to stay through Season 10 of "Two and a Half Men," (http://www.people.com/people/article/0,,20651888,00.html) People magazine confirmed. "Angus expects to report to work after the holiday break in January," a source told People. "He intends to honor his contract through the end of the season."
Jones' reps and attorney are said to be in talks with Warner Bros. about the actor's controversial statements (http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/angus-t-jones-will-honor-394801) and his standing with CBS, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Jones' publicist tells THR that "conversations are ongoing about his future role on the show."
The teen actor, who makes $350,000 per episode, expressed problems with participating in "Two and a Half Men" (http://www.vop.com/article/1096/site-categories/today-at-vop/angus-t-jones-testimony) since it clashes with his religious beliefs on another occasion.
While speaking to the congregation at Los Angeles' Voice of Prophecy Seventh-Day Adventist Church on Oct. 8, Jones said, "It's very weird being on a television show, especially now that I am trying to walk with God because my television show has nothing to do with God and doesn't want anything to do with God."
If Jones does exit the show, he follows closely in the footsteps of Sheen (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/11/28/charlie-sheen-angus-t-jones-interview-blames-chuck-lorre-emotional-tsunami_n_2205037.html) -- whose erratic behavior and disparaging comments about producer Chuck Lorre got him fired in March 2011.
Jones issued an apology for his remarks on Tuesday. (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/11/27/angus-t-jones-apology-two-and-a-half-men_n_2201339.html)
"Two and a Half Men" airs on Thursdays at 8:30 p.m. EST on CBS.

Oh! I see, yes, it rings a bell. I now remember seeing some portions of some episode. Thanks, Franklin!

What's this kid gonna do in the future for work? What type of parts will he be offered? Who's going to hire him? Kirk Cameron ring a bell? Game Over. Wonder if he throws Virgil under the bus sending him back to the gimmick tables.

Quite. The obvious reason to leave is that the show is shit. IMHO it always was.

I've never seen it. The stories about the show were always more interesting than the idea of the actual show to me.

I never watched the show until it went into syndication- then I realized it was HILARIOUS. The show was never about the kid and although it features some pretty good performances by alot of people, the best part was Charlie Sheen. The show basically mirrored his real life, which is very entertaining. That's why I found it so hypocritical that CBS fired Sheen for his behavior--- they made a hit show ABOUT his behavior!!

I agree with him. The show has been filth since Charlie left. However, Jared Padalecki said it best:
