I recently rewatched Gypsy... it made me start to wonder what if porn was structured more like musical theatre... not in the singing and dancing sense but where the sex scenes are used for character development.

Is plot driven porn your thing or do you just like fuck scenes.

I like vintage porn with some storyline. Some of the better ones were rip-offs of movies or TV Shows. I usually associate Horror with Pornography. I like them both as they both make me happy in the pants.

Sex scenes for character development? Maybe for penile development.... I think the character development and plot should connect the sex scenes, while the sex scenes themselves are "raw, lustful fucking" as Adama77 puts it. Unless the scene is something special that moves the story forward, for example a James Bond spoof where the superspy has hot lustful sex with a hung transsexual babe and learns the secret to the mad scientist's plot to blow up Manhatten in the process....

Plot driven porn? I view things the exact opposite way. When I watch porn, I just want to see sex, not long, useless development before and after. On the other hand, I find that there’s not enough sex in regular movies. Actors play these characters who are desperately trying to convince us how hot they are (males and females): we should see them in action, once in a while; we would know exactly how hot they really are…
So I guess that in some way, I totally agree with you, Wendy, if I understand what you’re saying. The sex would build the character every bit as much as a dance number build one in a musical? Very cleaver…
