Nobody can stop you, but I'd personally say that's a little drastic.
If you're actually intent, good luck.

On first glance I thought this thread said, "Quilting, Porn, and Masturbation". I was severely disappointed when I opened it.

I've done that twice.

Getting back with your ex is never a good idea.

I quit porn and masturbation for almost one year. It really did change my life. I had a mental acuity I now lack. I was definitely more sociable and approachable. People around me saw the change and commented on it. I said nothing.
I don't know. I'm looking at porn a lot again and masturbating every day. It's true I am more introverted and introspective now. Is that bad? good?
It's an interesting experiment to try and I urge everyone to do so. You learn a lot.
If there is something in your life you cannot stop doing for 30 days or one week or even one day it may be worth looking at. Addiction? I don't know enough to comment on that point.
Those are my two cents, for what they are worth in this economy.

Why would you quit on anything that makes you feel good if it’s not really interfering with your life, and by “your life” I mean, building and entertaining relationships, creating love in your life and sharing who you are with some closer people?
You have to have love and real friendship in a life; or else you have nothing. But I can’t see why you would reject anything that feels good for yourself.
I think that life comes down to a very few simple things in the end. We value it essentially with the love (and friendship) we share. The rest is about being happy and feeling good. Anything else is an extra; and obsessing on any of those extras is always some kind of neurosis.

I kinda agree with Dan. I just don't see how a dude could take away any kind of benefit from abstaining from masturbation. If it works for Lovecox and Bat1, good for them I guess. I've gone a week without and ended up damn near to transfixed on every chick that passed me by. Neurotic is not a good color on me.

I agree with Dan... if it feels good, do it. Just make sure that you don't let it interfere with any possible real-life relationships.

Makes more sense to come to the realization that no masturbation is just as unnatural as too much masturbation. Thanks, Buddhism.
