I've noticed quite a few threads and posts just disappearing throughout my time on HA.

No notification, no explanation. It is terrible moderation imo. How are we meant to know the line simply through censorship? There should be an auto-notification to the creator with every deleted post/thread (at the very least).

Simple courtesy would dictate a few words in PM to the offending member...

Are we all so pathetic that we can't handle slight offenses here and there? We are all adults on a porn forum ffs! The mods should only interfere in the most extreme cases, in threatening behaviour, or personal information being disclosed against someone's wishes.

We don't need our delicate little hands being held 24/7. This isn't sunday school or some other boring PC haven - this is a forum dedicated to pornography. We have all chosen to be here and we can leave whenever we want.

It's more likely that the thread that was deleted was done so by someone with clumsy thumbs on their Iphone - although nobody has came forward.

A few weeks ago I became a moderator on here. I make it a personal rule that the ONLY posts I remove are ones which break the rules which Seanchai has outlined.

I have never yet removed any political posts of any sort - much as many are offensive - and usually I simply argue with the posters.

I have no interest whatsoever in curbing free speech.Not my job at all.

I have deleted a few advertisments in the personals section when they clearly come from agencies along the lines Seachai has listed.

I have deleted a few - or edited posts - which link to sites with stolen content.

My biggest intervention was to delete several posts in a flame war between two people a week or two back which were simply accelerating insults and name calling which should have been contained to private messages.

And I have deleted the odd old bump post from myself in certain threads if that thread is already still alive and kicking.

only things i have deleted which is very few this year is people posting peoples personal info......people know they arent supposed to do it therefore shouldnt be surprised when it gets removed ....i have zero interest discussing politics....not a topic i would even click on nevermind read and delete....its bad enough my birthday is always around election day

Are you kidding me ? That happens all of the time ..... Things disappear without a trace . Just recently one of our members had their Air Mattress .... i mean Queen Sized Bed just disappear . Then again, that member lives near Nellis AFB and their Bombing Range is where AREA 51 is .
