I don't know what a majority of the guys here like to stick up their ass buuuut... Phoenix is a big-ass suburb with many surrounding cities in the metropolitan area. You really need a car to get around. There is public transit but it doesn't go everywhere.
We have a decent nightlife, sports and music scene but everything is spread out.
Day trips to Sedona, Grand Canyon or Tucson are great.
A 6 hour drive to the west coast. It's a melting pot of people from everywhere and home for most of my life.
