DogPile is a search engine aggregator, meaning it searches other search sites using your query and returns results. I don't believe DogPile crawls or indexes websites on it's own, but it pulls results from Google, Yahoo, Bing, and Yandex.

I never use ask.com, but they stopped using Jeeves about six years ago.
Doesn't seem very long ago, though.
