This is kinda normal behavior in families that shelter their children to the extreme. I had a friend of the same consequence who went off the deep end four years ago and started getting into super-left-field conspiracy and the supernatural. It's not as bad as believing you're Super-Sayan, but he's pretty much bat-shit crazy now.

True dat! The only reason I can think of though is that we were all little boys at some point. For some reason little girls don't usually like violent toons, so when they grow into sexy mature adults they know little of such things.

I didn't know anything about Dragonball until a male friend turned me onto it when I was in my early 20's. I've never been much of a fan though. And I heard the movie was awful.

I'd also put quotes around the word 'boys,' since any TS who 'like(d) violent toons' was probably just trying to find any enjoyment she could from her dysphoric existence.
