So, it starts, apparently, with Brendan Rodgers going to Liverpool, Martinez goes to Wigan and possibly Lambert to Villa.

Thoughts, opinions, gnashing of teeth, whatever.

proper gutted, cos i wanted rafa back... but time to get 125% behind the new fella. Hopefully he will embrace the club and the city and not do a "roy". Anything is possible then...

Hope lambert stays at norwich and stay up, I hope wigan get relegated.

If Lambert does go to Villa it will be a shame, because both Swansea and Norwich played great football most of the time last season.

But Rodgers had Swansea playing like the Liverpool I remember watching in the 80s - chasing down the ball in the opponents' half, passing in tight triangles and making the ball do the work to create space. If he is given time and the lads get behind him it could be an inspired choice. Lucas coming back will be a like a new signing and will give Stevie G the freedom he's been missing. Still need to replace Mascherano properly though. Should have gone for Jelavic though - that was great business by Davie Moyes.

Lucas replaces masch for me nowdays, get someone in the mould of Alonso makes more sense.. which hopefully, he will do. :)

Swansea played like that before Rodgesr, through Martinez. Kennys team played passing football and .... fingers crossed anyway. He needs a top 4 finish in 1st season I guess... ouch.

It was rumoured we wanted jelavic for a while(since last summer) and we also needed a centre mid but the owners refused to spend in january.

I agree on Alonso - Rafa's obsession with transferring him and replacing him (replacing him??? with Gareth Barry was the dumbest move he ever made. See who emerges at the Euros or try to get Taiote from Newcastle.

And is Jordan Rhodes from Huddersfield ready to make the jump to the big time? And a Scot, of course. :dancing:

That was only part the reason he left, the other was tax and homesick. By his own admission he had struggled to get over his previous two injuries (lamparad twat), his final season was by far his best with us (with his 1st). Maybe Rafa thought he would never recover, not everyones perfect - i loved alonso and he stills love LFC:) The simpleton theory of "Replacing him with barry" was a myth, he wanted barry sure but he also wanted a striker from the same funds. We ended up with Robbie keane at a ridiculous price and never got the Alonoso money to spend. #oops #rickparrytheclown #fuckoffhicksgillette

sorry been on twitter :D

Never in a million years would i have predicted Brendan Rogers would be LFC manager. Its either incredibly shrewd or incredibly stupid. Nothing in between.

Martinez isnt going anywhere - he's staying at Wigan.

Lambert would be mental to go to Villa - they are fooked - he's better off staying at Norwich

I reckon Villa are doomed next year. Thats Karma Darren, you money grabbing fu**er!

I heard that Chelsea and Arsenal were sniffing around Suarez ???

Well, Lambert has in the end gone to Villa, Hughton has left Brum to take his old job at Norwich, and Steve Clarke has finally got his own manager's job at West Brom.

That leaves McCleish, Bruce, McCarthy all looking for a new job. And who is going to replace Rodgers at Swansea?

It'll be a tasty couple of months after the Euros.

Don't care who Swansea get in as their new manager as long as it's not my team's mad-man Ian Holloway. I know Blackpool are punching well above their weight but this guy has got us playing the best football I have ever seen.....just a shame our prick of a chairman won't back him with a bit more cash!

So Michael Laudrup to Swansea for me please :praying:

According to today's Guardian, Harry Redknapp faces the sack after a severe dislocation of the relationship with Daniel Levy, Chairman of the Board -the lattering being furious that Spurs failed to get into Europe and thinks Redknapp was distracted by chatter about the England job. If Redknapp goes, the chat is that Moyes will replace him -but where will Harry go? He has hired Paul Stretford as his agent, which is most curious given Stretford's -alleged- dirty dealings over his cash cow, Wayne Rooney...

So, 'Arry's gone. Until the last few days did anyone see that coming?

Given what's happened at Spurs over the years, would Moyes be a fool to take the job? And Moyes has shown consistently how to succeed with minimal resources. How does that fit with Spurs' philosophy and ambition? And if not Moyes, then who?

Surely the problem at Tottenham over the years has been bad management, and Levy has been part of it. The team with Lineker, Gascoigne and Mabbut that was one of the most entertaining in the league (as was Newcastle when Ginola and Shearer were there) was badly let down by the management who have frankly been more interested in money than football. But Spurs has always been a mediocre club occasionally raised by players known for their flair rather than strategy, they exist to make life difficult for Arsenal, Manchester United, and Liverpool.

1) If Hodgson fails to get England to the semi-finals there will be a campaign to get rid of him and replace him with Harry;
2) if he does get England to the semi-final he stays, and England successfully head off to Brazil;
3) Martinez looks to me a better bet than Moyes for the Spurs job, they have a history of employing Latinos -even if it hasnt always been a successful history;
4) As it happens, I don't care.

Maybe the big question is, Who's Next? Ferguson? Wenger? Now there are two managerial positions that are hard to fill....
