Now to a sad news Alexander (the Great) Dale Oen has passed away aged 26. He passed away in Flagstaff, Arizona. Dale Oen was the World Champion, European Champion and was Norway's first Olympic medalist in swimming when he took silver at the Summer Olympics in Beijing in 2008.
He will be deeply missed in Norway since we are such a small country, there are not many people who has such a huge talent like Alex had.
RIP Alexander..:sadcry

Yes it's true he was found in the bathroom at the hotel where they lived.
Very strange because he was feeling well earlier in the day.
They tried to resuscitate many times but the heart did not start again.
But as mentioned very sad.

ok...i'll be the one to say it.

WHO THE FUCK CARES?

this dude would not care if you died so why do you care that he did.

in the time since this dude died, millions of people have died, some old people, so babies, some teachers, some milk-men, some high school football coaches, etc.

Well, You may probably be right there. Yet it is important to care about other people and not just think about themselves and be selfish, just a thought. :yingyang:

I thought the milk-men were already dead. I haven't seen one of them in years.

Okay. Got my punchline in.

I wonder if the altitude (Flagstaff is over 7000 ft,) could have had anything to do with this. It's still cold up there too, but he was from the frozen tundra that calls itself Norway.

Sad.

High Altitude training can be dangerous for athletes.

I wont go into performance enhancing drugs too much because there is no specific evidence that he was using them but there is significant evidence that many of them cause heart issues. A lot of cyclists have passed in similar circumstances and that was traditionally a combo of high altitude, slow heart rates whilst at rest due to their fitness and thickened blood from agents like EPO. Even without the EPO a super fit person at high altitude is at a much higher risk than you would expect.
