yourdaddy, perhaps you can explain what it is about HungAngels that appeals to you? I have read many of your posts and you don't seem that interested in the transgendered population.

I thought I'd better explain - just in case anyone misunderstands - that my previous post in this strand was ironic.

'Ancestral' home country.
Nice try.
I still never understood why Right Wingers believed an American WW in 1960 would fly to 3rd world Kenya and their rudimentary medical system to have her baby??
The premise is nonsense.

Better blow the dust off those US History books dude, but then again why bother.....you're a revisionist and now we have the proof of your ignorance/bias. Seriously why don't you stick to British history...hopefully you're more informed, or better yet why don't you stop commenting unless you know what the fuck you're talking about?
But the facts are this...Bull Conner and his ilk were democrats, as were the vast majority of KKK members at the time.
Suck on some facts...
January 26, 1922
House passes bill authored by U.S. Rep. Leonidas Dyer (R-MO) making lynching a federal crime; Senate Democrats block it with filibuster
October 3, 1924
Republicans denounce three-time Democrat presidential nominee William Jennings Bryan for defending the Ku Klux Klan at 1924 Democratic National Convention
November 25, 1955
Eisenhower administration bans racial segregation of interstate bus travel
November 6, 1956
African-American civil rights leaders Martin Luther King and Ralph Abernathy vote for Republican Dwight Eisenhower for President
June 10, 1964
Senate Minority Leader Everett Dirksen (R-IL) criticizes Democrat filibuster against 1964 Civil Rights Act, calls on Democrats to stop opposing racial equality. The Civil Rights Act of 1964 was introduced and approved by a staggering majority of Republicans in the Senate. The Act was opposed by most southern Democrat senators, several of whom were proud segregationists—one of them being Al Gore Sr. Democrat President Lyndon B. Johnson relied on Illinois Senator Everett Dirksen, the Republican leader from Illinois, to get the Act passed.
August 4, 1965
Senate Republican Leader Everett Dirksen (R-IL) overcomes Democrat attempts to block 1965 Voting Rights Act; 94% of Senate Republicans vote for landmark civil right legislation, while 27% of Democrats oppose. Voting Rights Act of 1965, abolishing literacy tests and other measures devised by Democrats to prevent African-Americans from voting, signed into law; higher percentage of Republicans than Democrats vote in favor
February 19, 1976
President Gerald Ford formally rescinds President Franklin Roosevelt’s notorious Executive Order authorizing internment of over 120,000 Japanese-Americans during WWII
and don't try to play that assine game about southern democrats becomming republicans or I'll have to slap you down again. You're revolting.

Why would you care what party a white person belong to. I am almost sure when that rope was strung around someone's neck, what political party they belonged to was not on their mind. By the way, the South was never defined by political party but by agendas and greed.

ALL the Southern democrats fled to the Republican Party when LBJ signed The Civil RIghts Act of 1964. Interesting that all these racists KNEW they could find a welcome home in the GOP.
President Lyndon Johnson was told at the time if he signed The Civil RIghts Act into law, the Democratic Party would lose the South....FOREVER.
Guess, what?? The South and the Bible Belt are ALL GOP strongholds and have been since the 1970s.
So if the GOP welcomed all the Bull Connors into their party, they also can have their legacy of bigotry and discrimination too.

OMK - good old boys come historically from across the political spectrum. Right now it is the Republicans who are the muscular supporters of the US gun laws. Funny how you right wingers hypocrites obsess over certain parts of your constitution yet are remarkably elastic when it comes to others (guns are fine but so too is the erosion of the separation of church and state.)
