Ann Coulter is a big fan of having a dull President for a change, and I'm hearing that more and more from Republicans. Of course, when charisma plays in their favor, Republicans don't have any problem playing that up. I had friends who claimed that they were totally creeped out by John Kerry. W definitely won the guy you'd like to have a beer with vote.

... which shows the relative poverty of the choice available.
It never ceases to amaze that in a country of so much promise and talent the choice at presidential election time so often lies between two complete dullards.
It's sobering to think that imho your greatest president of the 20th century, FDR, wouldn't stand a chance of getting nominated these days.
