Does anyone here bet on the horses? I saw the photos from 'Ladies Day' at Aintree yeesterday and was impressed with Coleen Rooney's outfit... Oh ok, what about the GeeGees?

Its probably too late as the race is on this afternoon, but if anyone has a tip I would be grateful as my gas and electricity bill is due.

Seabass -first GeeGee ridden by a GG to win?

Shakalakaboomboom -the name alone is a winner!

Organisedconfusion -surely the horse most closely related to HA?

Or do you think horse racing, like Boxing, is so intimately involved in organised crime that it should be re-classified accordingly, as well as the Grand National for some horses being, literally, the ride of their lives? As in -the last day out.

I dont like horse racing, do not agree with it, never been to watch the racing and never would do. I live about 6 miles from the course, only ever been there once for a wanky office "Christmas party" errmm a while back :P

Well that was possibly my most boring post ever.

Oh I wouldn't say that; I wasn't sure if you or any of the others in the UK were one of the girls who likes dressing up on the 'Ladies Day'(s) at Aintree and Royal Ascot. I got interested in it in the 70s when I was working with some guys who were betting every day and we used to go to the bookies -I then gave it up because I never won any money; so I do a flutter on the big races only; I did go to the Epsom Derby once but I didn't really see much racing. I have been told greyhound racing is more fun, but I have heard so many stories about how crooked it is I can't see the point, and pie and mash is not something I would pay to eat when going out. I might as well add that kit-car nonsense called Formula 1.
