I don't want to be a spoilsport and take the ball away from your playground, but the video clearly shows that an individual was targeted, it wasn't random -but doesn't give the reason for him being asrrested. Or you could just grow up and focus on the super bowl.

Instead of Coldplay or Nickleback playing, why don't they just taze 100 hippies for the Halftime Entertainment portion of The Super Bowl? At least the network would properly understand the demo.

Amazing just how impotent protesters in North America are .......at least the Arabs are resisting, fighting, and sacrificing their lives for their goals. Over here our resistance consists of cell phones, the use of 'fuck you Dude' and threats of lawsuits.......................no wonder nothing ever changes for the better.

In all fairness you are comparing apples and oranges. The folks in the Middle East have a hell of a lot more to fight for. The standards of living are are completely different.
There is no comparison.

That's right. Here people are only losing their homes to bank foreclosures, their voice to corporate lobbyists, and their vote to the conservative court's Citizens United. Hooray U.S.A.

It's a matter of perspective and as Trish points out we in fact have even more to lose......funny how we separate ourselves from 'them'.

We rarely get arrested and thrown in holes, often tortured, for disagreeing with our government...except by some overreach of a comparison. Economic woes don't often compare.

I don't separate myself from them....I just don't insult what they do by using the same comparison.

Maybe not overtly but our society becomes more Kafkaesque by the year it seems.................rather than becoming more enlightened.
