Democrats got over $1 million from Bain

Even as they attack Romney for his record at Bain, Democrats have received generous contributions from the company

The record of Bain Capital is already a primary line of attack against Mitt Romney by Democrats, especially because of Romney’s claim (http://dailycaller.com/2012/01/17/is-romney-backtracking-on-his-100000-jobs-created-claim/) that he created 100,000 jobs during his tenure at the firm.
Democrats have released ads (http://www.buzzfeed.com/zekejmiller/democrats-attack-romney-over-bain) on Bain, and Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz said this month of Romney, “He was a corporate-buyout specialist at Bain Capital. He dismantled companies. He cut jobs. He forced companies into bankruptcy and he outsourced jobs and sent jobs overseas.”
Obama campaign strategists are also promising (http://2012.talkingpointsmemo.com/2012/01/is-the-bain-capital-story-peaking-too-early.php) that the current flare-up over Bain is just a taste of what’s to come in the general election, if Romney is the nominee.
As an investigation by the Hill found (http://thehill.com/homenews/senate/205025-dems-receive-more-bain-dollars-than-gop), though, Democratic campaigns have actually received more money from Bain executives than Republicans in recent years. The Washington newspaper reports (http://thehill.com/homenews/senate/205025-dems-receive-more-bain-dollars-than-gop):
During the last three election cycles, Bain employees have given Democratic candidates and party committees more than $1.2 million. The vast majority of that sum came from senior executives.
Republican candidates and party committees raised over $480,000 from senior Bain executives during that time period.
This is an important point, but it’s not the whole story. If one adds super PACs into the equation, the GOP takes the advantage in Bain contributions. That’s because three people employed by Bain have given (http://www.opensecrets.org/outsidespending/contrib.php?&cycle=2012&cmte=C00490045&page=2) $1.25 million to the pro-Romney group Restore Our Future this cycle.
Still, though, it’s worth keeping in mind that lots of prominent Democrats have taken significant amounts of money from the company that they are now attacking so vociferously. This isn’t hypocrisy, exactly — I haven’t heard Democrats attacking Republicans for taking money from Bain. But it does cast into relief the contradictions of the Democratic Party, with its very cozy connections to Wall Street and big finance, attacking the GOP over the same.

Did he say ........... "This isn't hypocrisy, exactly" ??????? LMAO

But actually he's right....it's not hypocrisy...they're liberal democrats. They blow loads on interns in the oval office and laugh it off, yet question Newt on the conditions and timing of his divorce. They dodge paying their fair share of taxes, blame it on Turbo Tax, become Treasury Secretary, then question Romney on his capitol gains. They award thier campaign bundlers with access and cushy government jobs, and point to the Republicans as the party of the rich and well connected. They pass what they term "landmark legislation" aka Obama Care, make us pay the freight in increased premiums, yet grant waivers to their politically connected union friends and contributors. They demonize, label racist and fascist peaceful gatherings of American citizens, yet vocally, financially and emotionally back the, in many cases the illegal occupation of urban park areas with crime, filth, and reprobates. They leave no stone unturned in looking into Bush's brush with alcoholism, yet pass off Obama's admitted cocaine use as youthful experimentation, if they acknowledge it at all. They let the National Enquirer scoop them on the John Edwards sleaze, yet dispatch their best investigative reporters to interview Newt's ex-wife. Their DNC chairwomen lectures us on the need to bail out US car manufacturers, and drives a Japanese car..
You see how easy it is Ben? LOL

Did he say, "brush with alcoholism?" That's like saying Rain Man had a brush with autism, but it never influenced his capacity to think quickly, coherently or display all the mental capacities that would be required to be...say...leader of the armed forces.

Bush, not Obama, reached deep down into the bureaucracy and fired career experts in every government department, positions that had never before been political appointments, and replaced them with republican stooges (sorry for being redundant). Obama, like the presidents before Bush, left those people in place. But here we are almost through his entire term, and more than half of his primary appointments are still being held up by GOP Senators who don't even have the courage to be named.

Man....this response is like shooting a water gun at a charging "Rino" . Weak would be too strong a characterization.

If you're referring to the Federal Prosecutors, you don't tell the entire story ( shockingly). Yes there was some political maneuvering that occurred to be sure and that's always a bit distasteful, but grab the Pepto Bismal baby...it happens in every administration, and they serve at the pleasure of the administration. I'm sure they all landed jobs with real top shelf law firms, so I'm not reaching for the Kleenex just yet. Some of them were replaced because they were not strenuously pursuing cases the AG felt should be pursued. Do you really wanna want to hold the current Justice Department up as a model to be followed? Maybe rethink that and get back to me.

it happens in every administrationOh, I thought you were just saying it happens only in the Obama administration. So what's you're complaint then? "Brush with alcoholism." LOL Still makes me laugh. Your bias spills out over your belt like a huge pillowy ring of blubber.

I'm not clear what point anyone is trying to make here. This whole Bain complaint was manufactured by Republican opponants of Romney.
