I don't think emo, punk and goth are equivalent.

Emo is a fresher, more feminine look than punk (for emo examples see also "scene girls"). Punk is more of a struggle than goth- it's anti-authority and anti-status quo while goth seems to reflect a (professed) complacency in the face of death and despair- though some "goths" like to pretend they're bad-a$$ mothafuckahs dealing out the death themselves.

I give theone a pass on the title, though. Did you know he posted boobies?

I have actually tried to compare the three types by photos and articles through Google, and I still don't see the difference. It's kinda like how Hippies back in the 60's and 70's today are called liberals. LOL But neither one will answer to the others label. I still see no evidence to say that Goth, Punk, and EMO are not the same things.

But the girls on this thread are neither one. There are a few with piercings but that doesn't make them EMO. But they are still great to look at. They look like real people and very natural. I like that.

It's not always about the look of the person, Yes goth, punk and emo can have a similar look but the girls above are neither.

Let me try it this way, take a cd, a preop transsexual and a post op transsexual and put them together clothed. There is a good possibility that one can not distinguish between the three but if you ask them they will tell you how different they are from the other two. I just know when I see someone on the street i can get a fairly good idea if they are punk goth or emo. But I am not perfect, I could be wrong.

I don't know how to explain it but I'll just leave this thread to those that like the sexy pics.

Just my two cents, I view emo and goth as basically the same thing. Essentially, it's an unconvential look to me, not bleached blond, big boobs, fake tan etc. If you don't agree with the pics posted as being emo, then post some that you think are, and we can debate it from there.

No problem, I really enjoy hearing everyones views about topics like these, I think it's really cool to see the diversity of opinions. Thanks to Mayrah for the examples, I was wrong about there being no difference between emo and goth, I like both types, so I guess it's like the old saying, I may not know art, but I know what I like!:)

I think emo has less emphasis on the death/spookiness part than goth. Yeah, they're kind of sad, but they're not thinking about death all day. (Not that there's anything wrong with that either--a lot of goth chicks are really hot)

Punk is more aggressive and less concerned with beauty and emotion, even though "emo" was originally a sub-division of punk (emotional punk, as opposed to "aggro" or aggressive punk)
