If you insist screwing with street-girls rather than the girls out of the clubs, a few tips:

1. Lock everything you don't want stolen in the hotels safety deposit box. (The boxes are down in the lobby and only you have a key.)

2. When you and her get back to your room, have only as much money on you as you want stolen from you.

The girls from the clubs are a better bet, even though you'll have to kick in an extra $8 - $15 "bar-fine" to the bar. If you have trouble with a club girl you can go back to the club and have the problem taken care of. One club girl stole my camera, I complained, and I got it back. That was the only time I ever had any problem with a club girl.

Now street girls? I don't usually have them come up. The things is, of maybe eight times, I was nuked on two of them. The first one stole a little bit over what I would've given her. The second one stupidly got our beers mixed up, and we both ended up nuked.

BKK isn`t overcrowded in the last time. Go to Nana Plaza, there so many LB-Bars like Casanova, Cascades, Temptations or my favorite Bar Obsessions with nearly 100 LBs and with so amazing and beautiful girls there. Or visit Guess Bar before it`s moving. Or visiting Patpong in BKK.
OK, you have to pay (a little bit) more there, but the more gorgeous girls are in BKK. And the hotels in Suhkumvit Road, near Nana Plaza are mostly good and not more expensive than in Pattaya.
And Pattaya isn`t to far away from BKK, why not visit both places and make your own experience about what you prefer after.

Okay as you may or may not have read I advise strongly against picking up street girls.Sticking to bar girls is much safer.That being said most bar girls follow the bars "dress theme" of the day,so when you go in to Cascades for example all the girls will be dressed in striped bikinis.

Regardless dress here is a sad state of affairs.Most of these girls have 1 outfit to their name,and thats it...for many reasons which is a whole new thread altogether.
Cultural differences and influences IMO have greatly contrasted the dressing styles in Thailand.Thais styles for the most part leave alot to be desired,whereas right over the border in Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam the girls dress like knockouts....French influence perhaps...who knows.

The problem with the prices, are the Chumps who're paying too much. These fools cause the prices to go up.

For example, Mint's rates these days are in the 4000-5000 Baht range which in my opinion is way too much.

The problem w/ pricing is thanks in a very large part to the Federal Reserve devaluating the USD 65% in the last 7 years,and over 30% in the last 2.

Common folk dont grasp it here but everyone still equates 1 USD= 40-45 thai baht,however it stands at 1USD=32 thai baht.The girls still want their 2-4000 baht for short time,so what used to cost you 50 bucks can now go for 70-130.

If you plan on hitting Phuket you need to be aware that it is a very migratory city and is full of ladyboys only in high season.When the tourists leave many of the girls do as well.

Yeah I've usually stayed in the small hotels around lower Suk as well: cheap, clean, near the Skytrain & lots of restaurants & between 2 major bar areas. The tailor I've always gone to & have been happy with is Rajawongse, on Suk around the corner from Nana before you get to the Landmark hotel. Small store, easy to miss, usually busy, have to wait around the bolts of fabric. Peek into the fitting room in back & you'll get some idea of their customers (my card may still be up there too, but it's been a few years)....lots of government types.

There must be a good deal to be had on top quality suits? I really wasn't thinking of that, when i decided i wanted to go to Thailand, but it might be a good idea. Not that i wear suits often, but it's always good to have a couple of good ones on hand.

TOP quality, no, this isn't Italy. But if you're a typical punter who only occasionally wears one, like me (usually means I'm going to a funeral), or a man of modest means who has to wear one everyday & need to have several in reserve it's well worth it. Made to your own specifications down to the tiniest detail, personally fitted, and costing as much as one off the rack at a typical dept. store at the mall. Just make sure you are specific & finicky about the material, eg., ...."lightweight Italian style wool" or whatever, etc.,....
I at least get 5-6 oxford cotton dress shirts made up each trip, $20 five years ago, I suspect inflation & the dollar devaluation may have changed this too.

I would probably get a smart looking black/grey wool sports jacket now if I went.

Oh & avoid like the plague all of the $99 2-pair slacks suits in 24 hr. deals.

Majestic Suite -round the corner Sukhumvit Soi 4 / Sukhumvit Road, there you can see from the rooms which are backsides directly into Nana Plaza. To walk to Nana Plaza about 20 seconds.
Dynasty Inn, Sukhumvit Soi 4, about 10 sec. away from Nana Plaza. Smaller one, but good and famous and not so much expensive, only hadn`t any pool.
Omni Tower, Sukhumvit Soi 4, about 2 minutes away - fantastic there to have in 8th floor a swimming pool.
Nana Hotel, opposit of Nana Plaza entrance - and the meeting point area after the bars had closed there. (but in this hotel there I had never stayed)

Pattaya is a beach town about a two hour drive outside of Nana. Back in '06 it cost me about USD$25 for a taxi one-way from BKK.

The best hotel near NANA is the Landmark,nice clean rooms.efficeint security force.excellent room service food,and they dont typically hassle a female companion for the night.It is expensive though.

Pattaya is a 2 hour taxi drive from BKK.Many guys love Pattaya,not sure why....everyone there is on the make,scams abound,had alot of cash stolen out my hotel room,beaches are toilets....other than that Pattaya rocks!

Indeed great place there. :lol: When I visit this place there wasn`t the boss Jay in the bar, but her twin sister Jane. And Fern and so.

Guess Bar will be moving to Sukhumvit Soi 4 and new bar will be opening on 1st December. Only walking down Soi 4 (Nana) 200 meters from Nana Plaza.

Some more from Sukhumvit Soi 4 - just outside Nana Plaza.
Opposit of the entrance from Nana Plaza is the car park of the Nana Hotel.
There on this car park from Nana Plaza is the meeting point and chance for finding some bar girl after all the Nana bars had closed.

In Nana Plaza you can find:

Level one:
Obsessions Bar: Such a good place, there working about 100 LBs now, which you can see inside on the small stage. The most girls are gorgeous and very hot. This is a great bar and always worth for visiting again, and my favorite bar.

Level two:
Casanova Bar: This is a small shemale bar were you can meet between 20 and 30 good looking ladyboys. People which prefer tall ladyboys have to go to there. They have short time rooms on the 3rd floor.

Temptations Bar: A long and slim bar, the dancing ladyboys looking down to you from the top of this stage. This bar have a cold feeling and the girls are not so amazing like in the other bars there.

Level three:
Cascade Bar: Every night you can see between 50-60 beautiful ladyboys in this large bar with a great decor. Sometimes a little bit to loud, short time rooms only some minutes away. Some mean this is the best ladyboy bar in the world.

It is a rumour that you can find some post-op ladyboys in the Lollipop Bar which is located at the ground floor left side.

Yeah, many times I have sat at Big Dogs & watch the girls & punters file into NANA, a real cast of thousands....
This winter I'm going to the PI instead, the action seems much less centralized than LOS outside of Angeles but I don't think there will be much problems once I figure it out. I like the fact that English is spoken so widely, but I know I will miss the Thai food.

This pics were taken some years ago in the time Ning Nong Pimpan and her Aussie guy Nick had the so great and famous C & D Bar and the restaurant Katoys"r"us there in Phuket.
And always it was a great welcome there from Ning Nong and Nick and they always did remember. I think this was the most familar LB bar in the world.

It wasn´t any victim of the tsunami, it was open after this too.
Nick sold his share, but Ning Nong still must have hers.
And the other 3 bar owners are trying to dump their property.

I`m not sure but the bar must be still open.I had hear that there must be still lots of great looking LB's and always must be a good place for visiting.
