Only if you can afford to pay for a good lawyer, which if true, means that you probably aren't escorting anyway. An arrest does not necessarily guarantee a conviction either. True you hear about arrests all the time but I suspect many of these end up being tossed in court.:geek:

Yes, it does work. A horse with a law degree will be able to get you off. The only problem is you get booked, fingerprinted and have to spend at least one night in jail.
In order for the judge to throw out the case, there are several things that need to happen: no discussion of specifics over the phone, money in an envelope that says "gift," no discussion of specific sex acts in exchange for money.
That's why girls will only talk about a time & place over the phone, give you the address for the apt building across the street to see if you are not coming in with a SWAT team and have you put the money on a desk or counter instead of handing it directly to them.
These are all technicalities that will keep you from being prosecuted. Now the law changes all of the time to try to fix these loop holes, but thank God lawyers are clients as well.

Being an escort, I have never used this disclaimer on any of my ads; however, when speaking to a potential client on the phone, at some point I do ask them "Are you a a member of law enforcement or involved with any form of sting operation in _______________ county. Due to state laws, entrapment laws do apply." & I think that has done me well, considering I haven't ever had any sort of record, as of today. ; )

In some places a secondary penalty is having your name put in the paper associated with the crime. In general, though, johns are usually busted in sting operations by a police officer posing as a prostitute. I've never heard of a sting operation involving what I consider an escort, using an ad on CL or something else.:geek:
