Why yes. It is very real. There was a very tough selection process followed by an extensive round of judging by their panel. If you goto the site and select "Vicki" and then "Find Next" you can see the other nominees. If you hit "Find Next" a second time, it should take you to the award announcement.

I was very pleased when the award was announced January 5th. However, I didn't want to take any of the steam away from the AVN winner as that would have seemed catty. So, in true classy, good sportsmanship fashion, I waited a week an a half for that to die down to post it.

The first annual SHEMWORLD Award means a lot to me due to it's International flaire and the fact that their marketing group focusses almost entirely on Transsexuals.

as well- all about my mother- which he won the oscar for best foreigh film-one of the main characters is a post op playing a pre op- he dedicates the film at the end to his mother, great actresses, bette davis, and transsexuals
