Ratigan hit it out of the park and Mr. Williams was spot-on.

'After the show, lobbyist Jimmy Williams, who sat on Tuesday's MSNBC panel, wrote to Ratigan to express support for his angry tirade. "I'm proud of you," wrote Williams in an email obtained by The Huffington Post. "Someone just texted me and said, 'You didn't get to say anything!' My response: 'I didn't need to.'"
"Money in politics is pure, unadulterated corruption," Williams continued. "Get rid of campaign contributions and the political parties will cease to exist because policy will prevail or politics. We have amended the US Constitution twice with regard to liquor but not once with regard to the buying and selling of our politicians. What's wrong with this picture?"

Well when we included a "bought congress", lets not exclude a "bought white-house". The corruption is in ALL branches of government. When it takes a billion dollars of "donations" to become president, we have a serious problem.

Let's remember too the message is not only that politicians are bought but that private corporations and private commercial banking firms are the buyers. You can't sell your soul to the Devil if there's no Devil. In the cuurent situation corporations and banks are the Devil. Lifting regulations on them and lifting their tax burdens is exactly what they're paying for. The Tea Party just wants to give to them for FREE and cut the middle man Congress!!!

Please lets keep it straight, the Tea Party wants the 50% free loading americans to start paying their fair share. I believe you call it "shared sacrifice".

But you don't get it. Unlike GE which paid absolutely no taxes, those 40% that you so often complain about DO pay taxes. That 40% contributes to payroll taxes and is taxed for medicare.

But really, you want a tax hike? You do belong to the team who calls it a tax hike when tax cuts are allowed to expire or when loop-holes are closed or one group or another no longer gets their tax break. So you want a tax hike. Is that what you're saying? A tax hike that probably directly effects three quarters of your fellow tea-dippers. Because if you want a tax hike you shouldn't be drinking the tea.

You complain about corruption, but you want to give the source of corruption free rein__no taxes and no regulation for those who do the bribing. And why do you suppose the GOP is the party most supportive of corporations and their agendas? They're the ones who are being fed the most delicious morsels, that's why.

Pour that sleepy time tea in the harbor; wake up and smell the coffee.

Screw regulations, how about we make a US Congresspersons salary a flat $70,000.00, which includes health care for the term of his service. If you want a gym membership during your congressional term, go pay for one like everyone else does. And when they leave the service of there country they get a nice letter thanking them from the people of the United States. No retirement, no perks, just the pride in knowing they served they're country. Same for the US Senate, with the exception of a 1 term limit. No regulations needed.

And were talking Federal Income tax dear, not fees paid for services. Everyone pays for the federal services offered to them. Federal Income Tax, lets give the treasury a revenue boost and shift to a flat tax ASAP.

However, a flat tax is the silliest and most unfair idea ever. Billionaires made their billions by taking advantage of the opportunities provided them by our support system for corporations and businesses (patients, copyrights, contract law, courts, transportation, energy grid, communications network, etc. etc. etc. They use the infrastructure more, depend on it more, they can pay for their use.

I've never seen or heard of Dylan Ratigan before seeing this rant.

Impressive stuff. And the politicians could not step out of their corporately-funded boxes to answer him.

Deeply impressive.
