Awful story.

I don't know how taking a baseball bat with you on your way driving to see your GF, then killing her with it isn't a death penalty case.

BTW I'll never understand the psychology of criminal defense attorneys.
Lying to get a client acquitted puts you in the same category IMO as the accused.
