Hello all,

My GF just got a new Android phone for her birthday and we are pretty excited to dive into the whole apps thing. I plan on eventually getting an Android phone but I'm skint until a few months from now.

My Question:
-which apps do you enjoy and/or find most useful?
-which apps are best for browsing Hungangels.com?

Also, if you prefer the Iphone please chime in and recommend some apps as well.

Thanks in advance

why do people feel the need to add "dot com" to things these days? Drives me mad!

I love my android - particularly now it has a steady supply of new apps and games etc.
Some of the apps I use a lot;
Dropbox
barcode scanner
skyscanner (good for finding flight routes, costs etc)
nav free (free sat nav other than google maps. it stores the map on your phone so cheaper to use than googles)
cardio trainer (good for tracking your progress on walks, runs, cycling etc)
astro file manager

I'm forever trying new apps though - android marketplace has improved no end so it's so much easier to find stuff now

games wise if you want to know...
the usual angry birds
zookeeper
early bird
shoot the apple

Root it, then get Set CPU and Juice Defender; watch it's performance skyrocket.

I gotta get me a new phone. I turned in the last one when the 9 stopped working.

I despise cell phones, but I do think some of the technology is pretty cool. A buddy of mine has the Shazam app. If you're out somewhere and hear a song that you like, but don't know what it is, just let your phone "listen" to it for a few seconds, and Shazam will identify it for you. Urbanspoon is a good app for finding a good place to eat, if you're in unfamiliar territory.
