I'm Native American Indian - my last name really is SHORE. It was adopted by my ancestors, my father is half Cherokee Indian and his father is full blooded Cherokee Indian.

Some myspace person has me on there too as Italian I have yet to get them deleted! And I sent a salute pic to myspace.

Before the European invaders came we didn't have "last" names.... When we started using "last" names we used European names... There's no such thing as "Cherokee last names"...

And it is little known that this was the major reason why the Europeans invaded. Upon returning to Spain Columbus reported a disturbing lack of last names among the inhabitants of the new world. This news was at first met with disbelief and then abject horror. It was determined after much prayer and deliberation that drastic measures would be necessary to remedy the this tragic situation. The Europeans did not come for land and gold - on the contrary, they came to liberate people from the oppressive yoke of having no surname!
