I see that Steven Seanchai has been banned from Facebook too.

Hard luck Steven I used to enjoy your stuff on there.

Seems that anyone connected with the adult scene eventually gets kicked off Facebook.

Flicker is going the same way too.

Great for the seekers of extreme "pastimes"

Steer well clear of Birchlace tho. They promise to build you a paysite, which they did for me, then they expect you to promote it yourself!

I thought the whole point of having a company manage your website, meant that they did the promotion work for you.

I got well out . . . along with Kirsty, Karen, Candy and Evette.

Not really. It depends on what percentage they take. I'd expect a model to promote it mainly as they would be more likely to bring good traffic in. You are promoting your own site now right?
I do agree Birchplace is crappy though.

Check out http://www.tgflix.com - 13,000+ genuine members. 100% free, based on the Facebook sort of look.

Yes I do my bit thats why I'm a member here, but I also have a full time day job, so I needed a company who would handle 98% of my promotion work.

I know you don't agree with stats Steven, but I could never hope to achieve the viewings my websites gets each month, whether they are sign ups or not. They do a fine job at doing that and it works.

I just don't have the time either.

People are bound to say: if your website is so good, why do you have to work? The answer is I love my day job designing diamond rings and jewellery. It took me years to learn the CAD software involved:

As for Birchplace. Its gone right down the plughole I think. As for their log-on times etc, really bad. They need to change hosts again.

Blue P were with Relaible Hosting too but found access times way too slow.

They have just changed to a faster host

It's not that I don't agree with stats Kim - it's that I disagree with using them as a guage to how well your site is doing - and as you've read them wrong already (you didn't know the difference between a hit and a unique visitor), you need to understand the stats before blowing your trumpet. Practically anyone can get traffic to a website.

Get FREE Shemale Porn HERE!!! (http://www.kimsanalheaven.com/)

Will get you loads of traffic. IT's the quality of the traffic that counts. Clickers above might come to your site, look around yet not join. So you've wasted bandwidth and resources on them, they've added to your total of getting large amount of visitors but they're costing you money, not making you it. Tube sites have amazing traffic but their conversions are awful.

I just feel it's pointless congratulating yourself on huge amounts of people coming to your site, unless they are converting - and then, why share those numbers? I'd also question the wisdom of showing where your traffic is coming from? Surely competitors can then use this to their advantage?

What you are doing by promoting on boards like this, by showing your content and participating is worth it's weight in gold in terms of traffic. People who are genuinely interested in you and your content, will go to the front of your site and make their decision to enter, this is the traffic that should convert.

I fail to see what you don't understand about this? Having 10,000 visitors who convert at 1:200 is better than having 100,000 visitors who convert at 1:2500?

On another note, I haven't seen any promotions for you other than the ones you run?

Flickr is horrible. Even though they have the ability to host adult material every now and then some moderator on a morality kick starts cleansing the site. I got tired of it and started my own blog (http://brittanyts.com/Blog/18-nsfw-area/) instead.

As far as Facebook goes, they only react to reports of other users. Facebook doesn't actively peruse the millions of profiles in search of rule breakers. This is why my profile is locked down and I keep my main photo pg-13. I am also selective in who I add as a friend. It cuts down on the amount of crap postings, people only wanting to play some retarded app, and I ensure they are fans of porn before they even get considered.

I have had a few photos reported and taken down but nobody has yet to report my entire profile. Having everything locked down may seem counter intuitive but it keeps out the crazies and helps me reach a greater number of actual fans than simply having the most friends. You don't need to try to reach everyone when you only really need to target those who are actually interested.

I do understand about the figs since you kindly explained it to me 3 weeks ago.

I know hits mean bugger all and its conversions that count.

But 120,000 main viewers straight to my site in the 19 days of April? Cumon, thats impressive by anyones standards. Even you said that about the month of March and that was "only" 107,000 in total for the whole month.

Do that maths. If even just half of one percent sign up thats still 600 uk pounds x 30 as its £30 to join, not a pound! £18,000 to those without a calculator.

Of course its no way half of one percent, but I'm sure you get the drift

Sure, I have to pay out the 40% cut to the affiliates, Blue P's share and hosting and CC bills fees.....but I'm certainly not complaining what goes into my piggy bank.

I dont really want to post my conversion figures here in public, as Blue P would not be happy, but I will send them to you if it satifies you.

Incidentally: I also use these as a gauge:

Alexa: kimsanalheaven ranked: 242,000

Ranking.com: kimsanalheaven ranked: 65,000

Again, meaningless drivel I hear people say but compare those figs to the other "professional" TG sites.... its way above.

oh.....You wont really find any promotions run by by me because as I've already said, I just don't have time to do any.

I gave up on Facebook, Flickr, myspace, tagged, Bebo etc as they are all strictly against porn. Waste of time.

Don't take any notice of Seanchai Kim.

He is just jelous that your website does better than all his!!!!

Every time you mention your 'stats' he jumps up and down in a rage and jumps onto your back to try to knock you down.

You rock Kim, keep it up girl

Based on that you are expecting a 1:200 conversion? Truely incredible if you can get that. I think it will be far less.

Sure, I have to pay out the 40% cut to the affiliates, Blue P's share and hosting and CC bills fees.....but I'm certainly not complaining what goes into my piggy bank. 50% to affiliates right? As it is you are probably making more sales yourself through your promotions, which is better as you get to keep more!

I dont really want to post my conversion figures here in public, as Blue P would not be happy, but I will send them to you if it satifies you.I wouldn't have been happy if you'd posted the links from where the traffic had came from, to be frank. You don't have to send anything to me, I don't need satisfying or any point proving. I think you have a great site and content and I'm sure it converts well - that's not what I'm complaining or correcting you on at all.

Incidentally: I also use these as a gauge:

Alexa: kimsanalheaven ranked: 242,000

Ranking.com: 65,000

A guage of what? How much traffic comes to your site ... haven't we just been over this?

oh.....You wont really find any promotions run by by me because as I've already said, I just don't have time to do any.

Well I see promotions run by you on just every board and I'm sure they're getting you traffic but you said you don't have time to do it, which is why you leave it to BP to do ... but I haven't seen any promotions from them, just from you?

Again Kim, my point is, spouting off numbers is irrelevent, anyone can get traffic.

I've actually given Kim some good advice behind the scenes and am promoting her site. Far from being in a "rage" or wanting to "knock her down" I want her to understand exactly what these numbers mean and also that she shouldn't be posting where her traffic comes from, as that should be her proprietary information.

What the fuck has it to do with you, you fucking short arsed, hairy footed ingratiate?

I not sure what your gauging unless its purely traffic stats...

I mean my alexa rank is around a million I expect (its 1.7mill actually - lol)... a couple of thousand unique hits a day ( i think) but on the other hand I have 0% of nasty stuff, and traffic that sells is 90% approx my own, 10% affiliate... I expect yours to be in the 30% direct, 70%+ affiliate based. Forgive me If i am wrong

I know its not all about the ching ching ching as you said and i agree, but we have bills to pay and food to buy and equipment and stuff sooooo once you do the math, of lets say per sale, i lose 20% (being OTT here) on the a standard sale for the bulk of my traffic (this includes my pvt server in u.s etc and processing fees) compared to say the 60-70% you will not see per affiliate sale as there is your affiliate scheme to cover 50% + whatever percentages for BlueP,hosting whatever etc.... then it all kinda balances out this numbers game..

granted I do a lot more work but I find it satisfying... and I would like to get more traffic but not at the cost of it's quality.

No ones right or wrong tbfh - I just cannot see what exactly your gauging..

Home from work at last, what a mad day!

Regarding my "stats". I wasn't the one who raised the topic on this thread. I was merely pointing out that my web company do all my promotion thats all, cus I don't have time to.

And regarding Bilbo and his manic attack: Steven has helped me a lot on here and other Forums, so please don't have a go at him. He is one the good guys!

He is just pointing out that stats don't mean much to him.

I only look at mine as a gauge to see how my site is doing, thats all really

toodle pip!
