visiting L.A..... maybe....hmmmm

ive been toying with the idea for some time but now im seriously considering visiting L.A. I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice and/or information about the area.Such as where can i find the cheapest plane tickets (new york to l.a.),affordable places to stay,night life and things to do during the day.things of that nature.thanks

you should fly into burbank, it might cost a bit extra then LAX but you save on taxi fee cause you'll be close to the action, North Hollywood Studio city area are fun and plenty to do during the day and night and west hollywood and downtown are only a cab ride away, lots of cheap motels in studio city and lots of nice good priced ones spread around! hope that helps, and if you want to pick a good time you should come for the tranny awards February 5th at BlueMoonNights!

Allegiant Air flies into Long Beach, and they've probably got the cheapest flights right now. I just bought some tickets for April. I'm gonna check out Blue Moon Nights for my first time on April seventh. I'd been to Club 7969 & Cobra many times, and I hope I'm not disappointed, but I doubt I will be. After that night, I'm gonna head south to San Diego for Friday & Saturday nights. But, like I said, I think Allegiant Air is pretty darn cheap.

Yea, but I doubt you wanna stay in the Long Beach area and unless you've got someone to pick you up you'll spend a ton getting back into where you wanna be.

As for where you wanna be I'd guess hollywood, burbank, studio city is actually pretty good...in the action as sparky said and close enough to most places you'd wanna go. I'd personally fly into Burbank, it is just so much more relaxing than the hell of LAX.

It's probably cheaper to rent a car than to take a cab anywhere in the LA area. Fly into wherever you get the best rate. Take a few days to find a decent place to stay & better transportation once you get there.

Yeah rent a car, midway car rental at LAX Radisson usually has cheap deals. And their cars are pretty nice also.
