This is a really tough question:
Book - definitely something long, maybe War & Peace? Steven King's The Stand is long, and can be read multiple times.

Movie - I can watch The Godfather over and over and never get sick of it

Album - has to be something with lots of music, so definitely a double album - I'd probably go with Led Zeppelin Physical Graffitti or Beatles White Album

Book: either Kesey's "Sometimes a Great Notion" (sprawling, and probably the last Great American Novel) or Tom Robbins' "Still Life With Woodpecker" (funny, I always find something new to think about every time I read it, and it addresses the most important question of all- How do you make love stay?). It's a cop out but I can't decide!

Music: the Big Star box set released a few months back. (RIP Alex Chilton). I don't think rock and rock gets any better, and the live stuff is incredible!

Movie: Killing Time (foreign film). A female assassin in a foreign country doesn't know the language and can't figure out the mission (loses the dossier). Also: she is feakin' sexy!

If I were to end up on this island, would I not wonder how in hell it has an endless supply of food and water and con edison is providing me with electric and there is a tv and dvd player to go along with a stereo to play one cd. Would I be more pissed off that I cancelled the cable or never hooked up the internet

Since I don't have to bring a Tropical Field Guide to Edible Plants and Animals, I'll bring Galactic Dynamics by Binney and Tremaine along with plenty of paper, pens and pencils. For DVD it'll have to be The Big Lebowski. The album would be Ray Brown et. al's Triple Scoop.

After much head-scratching:

Book: The complete works of Shakespeare

Film: Barry Lyndon & 2001, A Space Odyssey (I'd be watching them on an iPad, so I might as well "cheat" a bit)

Music: the entire works of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (see my iPad comment above)

oh and I'd smuggle Richerd Dawkin's "The God Delusion" in on the iPad as well!
