i went there WAY before the recession, was stuck there for 5 days not 1 client cuz i refuse to budge on my rates and that was when i was only charging 200 hr and 150 for a half....

I am surprised to hear that about DC. I've been to almost every city on the east coast on bizz this year and DC seemed to me to be far younger, more vibrant, and resurgent than any city I've been too other than parts of Manhattan. Maybe the new DC yuppies don't like separating themselves from their government paychecks?? LOL
