I just got my hormones, and I'm really excited... I've been looking forward to this day for so long and it's finally here. I'm starting on them a little late (I'm 24 now), but I'm glad I waited until I was absolutely sure this is what I wanted to do.

I think it's also pretty awesome that my 1st day on hormone replacement therapy falls on Transgender day of Remembrance.

First day on HRT? I was 26, so 24's not bad at all. And I was scared and excited all at once. Excited for the obvious reasons but scared because it's normal to be nervous any time you start down a road you've never been down before.

Usually the stuff you buy online isn't as potent.

She does need hormones - testosterone takes over the body as you age.....you are trying to reverse that from ever happening.. What poppycock and it takes 5 years not 2 years to see the full effect.

Yes, unless they go post or get castrated (ball removal) but even then they take a small amount of estradiol/estrogen usually 2 mgs but they don't have to take testosterone blockers anymore.

Hormones work best the younger you take them. Dr. Odea's are really strong.

Just to throw in 2cents- one of the side effects not mentioned is the possibility of blood clots with estrogen taken by mouth which has to be processed by the liver- please be under a doctors care if at all possible-good luck in your journey!
